Rules: Postings must be an ad announcing an intent to sell, buy or trade. Full item description and photo(s) must be posted within the message here, not as links to other websites. Links to online auctions and other sites: Links to online auctions, dealer sites or other listings of items are permitted, but you should be careful to ensure that such listings will comply with our other ChronoTrader Policies. In addition, we request that sellers linking to online auctions or listings offer some benefit or accomodation to ChronoTrader readers (for example, some discount or an undertaking to end an auction early, to keep a watch "in the family"). Photos must be of the actual item for sale in its present condition. No counterfeit or replica products. No post for the same item may be repeated within 7 days, except to lower the asking price. Commercial dealers are limited to three unique posts per day. [More...]
Vintage Heuer Carrera must leave my collection, Ref. 7753 NS/T, 2nd Execution, w/ 30-minute register, w/ Valjoux 7730 movement; TACHOMETER scale.
what makes this beauty rare is
*Comes with original box & papers*
*A ’Fab Suise' subdial (sold in France)*
*Recently serviced by Chronodeco in Seattle*
Please e-mail me with any questions. i am looking for offers north of $9000 USD; ending Sunday Dec 27th at 12PM EST.
I will ship only to Paypal confirmed addresses. The watch will be sent overnight and insured for its full value.
The 7753 uses the Valjoux 7730 (in Heuer code, "53" is Carrera, so Ref. 1153 is a Calibre 11/ 12 Carrera. They didn't change the codes when the moved to the Calibre 12. "33" is Monaco, so 1133B is the Blue Monaco Calibre 11/ 12). These codes changed over time, so the early V.72 Carrera is not the 7253, but the 2447!
"Fab Suisse" on the dial marks this out as a French-market watch. The French has a rule banning imports of any products that could be confused for being French but weren't. To make sure there was no confusion, Swiss watchmakers added "Fab Suisse" ("Fabrique en Suisse"- "Made in Switzerland") to the dials of watches bound for France.
This reference seems to be getting harder to come by, as new vintage collectors gravitate toward the “panda” dials that feature white subregisters on black dials.
Dial/hands: The black dial is flawless and free of any scratches or blemishes. The subregisters are a gorgeous creamy white. The hands, are original.
Case: Terrific case that I don’t think has ever been polished. Thick lugs with original beveled edges. 36mm in diameter. Serial number is 106xxx, which places the year of production at 1969-70.
Crystal: recently replaced.
Service: recently serviced by ChronoDeco: COA, new mainspring, oil pushers , new plexi, replace crown wheel
Crown/pushers: Most likely all original. The crown is signed and the proper size. Pushers are tight.
Movement: Valjoux 7730 movement. Bridge is signed Heuer-Leonidas SA. Very clean and well-oiled.
Band: Am selling the watch head only, but if interested, would be amenable to including any horween leather strap at cost.
