For sale, this elegant and rare Omega "Red Star" Teddington, manufactured in 1947 (according to the serial number of the movement : 11781392). Model reference is 2609 13, as engraved in the caseback.
The "Red Star" was a small serie Omega produced to celebrate its award-winning at the Teddington precision observatory contest, thanks to the famous 30T2 movement.
The steel case is oversized regarding the period : 38 mm without (signed) crown.
The sunburst dial is outstanding, with very nice painted arabic numerals, large subsidiary seconds dial and silver leaf hands.
It comes on a nice smooth calf strap (lug width : 20 mm).
