Rules: Postings must be an ad announcing an intent to sell, buy or trade. Full item description and photo(s) must be posted within the message here, not as links to other websites. Links to online auctions and other sites: Links to online auctions, dealer sites or other listings of items are permitted, but you should be careful to ensure that such listings will comply with our other ChronoTrader Policies. In addition, we request that sellers linking to online auctions or listings offer some benefit or accomodation to ChronoTrader readers (for example, some discount or an undertaking to end an auction early, to keep a watch "in the family"). Photos must be of the actual item for sale in its present condition. No counterfeit or replica products. No post for the same item may be repeated within 7 days, except to lower the asking price. Commercial dealers are limited to three unique posts per day. [More...]
Offered for sale here for the first time is a beautiful Mathey-Tissot two register chronograph from about the 70's. It has a pristine Valjoux caliber 236 movement which is an improved version of the Valjoux caliber 23. The case is all stainless steel and has only a few, very small, cosmetic blemishes. The dial is original and not refinished. I believe, judging by the interior condition of this watch, that it has never needed a repair. There are no watchmakers marks or tool marks anywhere to be seen. This also suggest that the watch may never have been serviced. Even so, it is running strongly and keeping good time and the chronograph functions smoothly and flawlessly. The registers snap sharply back to zero when the reset button is pushed. The watch will be supplied with a padded black leather srap. The pictures, though not perfect, tell the story.
The price is $450 plus shipping cost and insurance if desired. Payment by USPS money order assures immediate shipping. Payment by any other paper form will require clearance. Paypal ok but add 3% to total. Shipping to Conus only. Please e-mail if there are any questions.
