FS: ATG Marine Strap 3 - 22 mm Diver

I have been developing straps for vintage watches for about 5 years, making racing straps for Heuer watches that just were not available then. This has led me on to develop my own straps working with the ATG ethos of style and quality.

After speaking to many 'diver' watch owners I noticed there was a need for a simple stylish strap that wasn't 'injected rubber' but you could get it wet. After several sample designs I finally came to this range of straps.

Working with Jean Rousseau a French OEM strap maker who have been making straps for the famous watch 'marques' for many years I have finally created my ATG Marine Strap Range.

Using waterproofed fabric and specially treated Rubber between the two of us I think we have come up with some very cool alternatives to what has been available.

Again I have tried to offer what i would like and I hope you like them too!

ATG Diver 3

The strap itself is padded to the width of the wrist where the thickness narrows down to 2 mm so it fits into your ATG buckle like a leather strap would. The strap is covered with a very heavy Cordura ballistic nylon material that is rubber backed as the strap is lined with rubber too so as to make it waterproof.

The depth at the rounded shoulder is 4.5mm and tapers over the width of your wrist as I have said to 2.5 mm. The rounded padding tapers at the sides near the shoulders to 2.5 mm to give the strap that padded look without being too thick and clumsy.

This is a very practical strap stiff to begin with but it has to be as it needs to carry the ehaviest of watches, Speedmaster MKIV, Blanc Pain Fifty Fathoms, Heavy weight Seamasters.

Dimensions: Slip side 115 mm - Buckle side 86 mm (leaving 86 mm from shoulder to last hole on the slip side)

I based the dimensions on the top end of the average European wrist size and then added a little.

NB: The ATG Marine Range is made 'by hand' in the lea of the French Alps buy long serving craftsmen.

Shoulders 22mm with a buckle width of 18mm.

I have chosen a buckle designed and manufactured in Switzerland working with a 4th generation manufacturer who also branded the steel brushed buckles for me. I think the buckle has that 'military practical look' that contrasts with the sleek design of the strap itself.

I hope that the straps meet everyone's expectations of my kind of strap and that you find that it compliments your watch while being comfortable to wear.

Regards

Alistair @ ATG
