This is a very special watch! Waterproof to depth of 1000 meters or 3300 ft. This case was the first 1000m, it was designed and made by Jenny Watches ( you can see the “j” over the fish logo) the company´s owner of Doxa. The watch is like a tank, very heavy and well done. The crystal has 5mm to guarantee the pressure. You can see the same watch in other brand like the famous Ollech & Wajs Caribbean 1000. At the time of it's creation, the Rolex Submariner had only a 200 meter or 660 ft. depth rating. The watch in the early 70's was used to set a number of dive records. With air tank and without. It has also been said that the watch was a favorite of Vietnam military personnel who purchased the watches rather than use one's supplied to them.
The movement is an ETA 2452 gold filled with blue screws signed CARIBBEAN. The watch is in very good to excellent condition. The bezel between the 28 minutes to 35 minutes is a bit old. Comes on genuine NOS Tropic rubber dive strap. Also included is an NOS O&W brochure.
The measures are 15mm from bottom case back until top of the crystal, 50mm from lugs to lugs, 40mm without crown and 43mm with crown, space between the lugs 19mm, but you can use 20mm straps.
The case back show: “SUPERWATERPROOF 702 AUTOMATIC INCABLOC FULL STEEL SWISS MADE BREV +387551” Near of the fish logo you can read: “BREV +5292/68” The serial number is 61524.
