Sorry if there are language errors in the ad. I have translated it from Dutch and adapted as correct as possible to correct English
Superb, very well-standing Bulova Marine Star from the 70's. This watch has the same case as the Zenith Cairelli but contains the very popular
Valjoux 72 5 caliber with Flyback function.
Dial
Beautiful matte black dial which is in absolutely flammable condition. Very nice subdials with radially placed numbers.
The dial is free of scratches or irregularities. The hour indexes has been beautifull aged over the years. The dial is in great balance with the large subdials and red Marine Star symbol.
Hands
Original hands that are beautifully aged. The hands are aged very nice aged and untouched. The colour is exactly equal to the hour indexes.
Bezel
Pepsi bezel uni-directional. Very neat without damage. Tritium spot on the 12 which is colored to sort of orange.
Case and Crystal
42mm case with beautifully designed lugs, without crown protectors. The case has its original facet edges and is never polished.
The plexi crystal is without scratches and in overall very good condition.
This case is exactly the same as the Zenith Cairelli and the Excelsior Park Monte Carlo!
Crown and Pushers
The screwed crown is the original one and is very neat. The pushers also work smoothly and are original.
Caseback
Screwed rear cover in a clean condition. One deep scratch by opening wrong. On the caseback is the text "50M - Marinestar - Swiss Made - Bulova"
You see that the watch is not worn often as the black print in the text is still intact.
On the caseback, the number "07617" is printed. On the inside of the caseback, the number "8081101 A"
Caliber
Valjoux 72-5 Flyback Chronograph caliber. Unique! Through the reset pusher, the Chronograph can be reset immediately without having to be stopped first.
Winds smoothly and time adjustment works properly. The chronograph starts well and resets its initial position.
Good amplitude and keeps good time. Last maintenance is unknown but and not necessary.
References, payment and price
Have done some business here on CT, and a lot of business on Horlogeforum.nl. Am a member of Omegaforums and a private watch collector.
Can be returned if not as described. Payment by bank of Paypall (+4%)
Looking for € 8000,- or a good offer. But rather I trade it for a vintage Rolex Seadweller or GMT with Tritium. Other good trades are also welcome but it must be something very special.
This type of watch is usually provided with the Valjoux 7731 or 7740 caliber. In this state, with this bezel and this particular watches is absolutely a unique watch.
Thank you for watching. Pictures below. You can email me at Delax80@hotmail.com
