Please see our ChronoTrader Policies and Terms of Use. | Learn more about How To Include Photos In Your Postings. |
Rules: Postings must be an ad announcing an intent to sell, buy or trade. Full item description and photo(s) must be posted within the message here, not as links to other websites. Links to online auctions and other sites: Links to online auctions, dealer sites or other listings of items are permitted, but you should be careful to ensure that such listings will comply with our other ChronoTrader Policies. In addition, we request that sellers linking to online auctions or listings offer some benefit or accomodation to ChronoTrader readers (for example, some discount or an undertaking to end an auction early, to keep a watch "in the family"). Photos must be of the actual item for sale in its present condition. No counterfeit or replica products. No post for the same item may be repeated within 7 days, except to lower the asking price. Commercial dealers are limited to three unique posts per day. [More...]
Just a super nice and seldom seen Enicar--the pix don’t lie!
The price for this cool Sherpa Divette is just $925 USD OBRO shipped worldwide. Paypal is also on me with eCheck strongly preferred. Bank Wire or Cashier’s Check are also fine of course and if I know you I will take a personal check as well. Payment must be made in US DOLLARS. Watch will ship upon full clearance of the funds, as well as any necessary bank vetting.
CASE: Extra large (50mm from lug tip to lug tip, 42mm diameter not including crowns) compressor-style case with large polished faceted lugs. With only the most superficial of scratches, I conservatively rate the case at 92%+.
CASEBACK: Screw in water-resistant caseback with some tool marks in 88% external condition. The famous Seapearl logo and “Sherpa 600” are very crisp and the rest of the typically prolific text is perfectly legible if a little more worn.
DIAL & HANDS: Beautiful Near Mint black dial with applied SS markers and all original Tritium luminous. Inner rotating B&W 24-hour bezel is perfect and without discoloration. Red date at “3.” Original polished metal hour & minute hands are in perfect shape except for the loss of their luminous and the red GMT hand has some paint loss towards the tip.
CROWNS: Twin crowns with crosshatch pattern and signed with the famous Enicar “Saturn” logo. The crown at “2” rotates the inner 24-hour bezel and the crown at “4” winds the watch and sets the time. Both crowns operate as they should.
CRYSTAL: Acrylic crystal in excellent condition with just a few minor scuffs.
BEZEL: Bi-directional rotating World Time bezel with independent red pointer arrow. This ultra-functional bezel can be used to read the relative times at different points around the globe, from Karachi to Noumea. Usually these aluminum bezels are shot but this survivor has only a slight bit of paint loss around the edge and to the pointer.
MOVEMENT: I do not have the proper tools to open this Enicar, so I am including the previous owners pictures of the insides. The movement is a very robust 24-jewel A.R. automatic with additional 24-hour hand modification and semi-quickset date (by repeatedly moving the hands from 9 PM or so to midnight and then back again, you can rapidly advance the date). The previous owner said he had the watch serviced recently and the watch is running to time and all functions are working as they should.
BRACELET/BAND: This big Sherpa Divette comes on a lightly used and robust black oily leather cordovan strap with red contrast stitching. This Enicar takes 22mm straps.
I make NO guarantees for the water resistance of this watch in any way, shape or form.
This great Vintage Enicar is offered with a 3-day inspection period from the date of receipt and may be returned for a full refund (less any shipping costs incurred by the buyer). This refund is unconditional and once I get the watch back in exactly the same condition as it was sent to you, your money will be refunded. Of course, once the 3 days are over the sale will be considered FINAL.
Thanks for looking,
T.
