FS: Vintage Omega Seamaster 300 no crown guard, ref 165.014

Hi Folks,

On sale today is a Vintage Omega Seamaster 300 without crown guard, ref 165.014, circa 1966. A rarer version of the Seamaster 300 variant, and a transitional version from the CK 2913 or ref. 14755 and the bigger case ref. 165.024 with crown guard version.

Original Hesalite beautiful DOMED crystal without damage with scratches that can be removed by light polishing. Caseback is of course all original with visible markings. The letter "A" from the word "WATERPROOF" has the correct font, being the "flat top A". As you may already know, the sharp A is a characteristic of a fake.
Size measures 38mm across without crown, 48mm from lugs to lugs. Thickness is approx. 13mm.

Original bezel that can be rotated with ease. The original bezel insert has damages (as usual for this model), and it has been restored as faithful as the original possible, bearing in mind the original fonts, color of the fonts, etc. As mentioned, every part of the watch has dismantled and cleaned. Furthermore, the underside of the bezel has been silicon greased so that the user will have no problem with the rotating of the bezel and also act as a deterrent to moisture in future that may lead to corrosion.

Dial is Original and restored and could use a new production dial if owner desired. Would rate it 80% in overall condition. There is NO "stubbies" (minute indices behind the hour markers) or closed "6" or "9" (for the fonts in the dial) which are tell tale signs of a fake. Dial glows pretty well too!

This watch is powered by the ever trusty workhorse, caliber 552. The beautiful swan neck regulator movement has been serviced, and cleaned meticulously. Every single part of the movement has been also checked. Will provide years (or even decades) of enjoyment for the new owner. Time keeping is excellent.

A new Zulu strap will be included in sale.
