Vintage Omega WWII British Military WWW, 1945

Cal. 30T2RS Manual Wind, 1945. Ref. CK 2444

Omega W.W.W., for "Wrist Watch, Waterproof." dating to 1945, designed by the British Ministry of Defence as updated replacements for the pre-war ATP design specification.

Hands are correct UK MoD replacements applied during service over the course of the watch's military service life, all else absolutely genuine original Omega. Complete movement service in 2006 performed by Omega Authorized repair facility . Some scratches to caseback from opening tool, otherwise all original finish.

Dial : Original, unrestored, unrefinished matte black with sunken seconds subdial, arabic numerals and "railroad track" outer index.

Hands : These "pencil" type hands are correct MoD as replacements. Radium luminous material.

Case : Fully stainless steel "waterproof" screwback case. Genuine MoD military markings, including correct "Y-" military order number for Omega WWW. Some cosmetic scratches to caseback - see photos. 18mm fixed lug bars for strength and security according to military spec. Correct and original large knurled

crown to facilitate use with gloved hands. Some minor dings consistent with the wear expected for an issued military watch.

Movement : Caliber 30T2RS 15-jewel manual wind of Omega's renowned workhorse 30mm series of movement calibers. RS for " Réglage Spécial " or regulated to chronometer specifications (though not submitted for final official certification for reasons of cost and wartime expediency). 15-jewel manual wind subseconds, correct nickel-plate finish as used on all Omega's WW2-era military watches. 10-m s/n# correctly dates to 1945.

Crystal : Omega Armored Hesalite (acrylic)

Strap : Custom-made double-ridged black leather with matching stitching, custom-fitted and actually sewn around the fixed lug bars. Used but very wearable condition.
