Rules: Postings must be an ad announcing an intent to sell, buy or trade. Full item description and photo(s) must be posted within the message here, not as links to other websites. Links to online auctions and other sites: Links to online auctions, dealer sites or other listings of items are permitted, but you should be careful to ensure that such listings will comply with our other ChronoTrader Policies. For sale from my personal collection is this amazing forties Rodana (the old name for Rodania) Chronograph.
The watch is in an amazing condition for a watch this old, inside ticks a Landeron48 handwinder it has got a very cool acrylic domed crystal and a beautiful silver dial with stepped subdials, a blue tachymeter ring and a cool bright red chrono hand.
Rodana was the original name when the company was founded in Grenchen, Switzerland in 1931, probably because of a trademarkt infringement they started using Rodania as a brand from 1952. Looking at the this watch and its movement it was probably made between 1946 and 1949.
Diameter without the crown is 35mm, with crown 37,4mm, 43,4mm length, 12,2 mm thick, because of the form of the case it even wears bigger than the numbers suggest. It had got drilled lugs, the lugsize is 18 mm and the watch comes on a new Calf Grain Leather Strap.
Service: No service history, it keeps good time, winding and setting the time are very smooth, the chronograph is working as it should and resets perfectly, pushers work crisply.
My price is eur. 375,- excl. shipping

I am not a professional watch seller and this watch is part of my private collection. This watch is described to the best of my abilities. I consider the pictures part of the description. Please note that vintage watches are not as precise functioning and waterproof as a modern day watch. Please ask any questions beforehand and I will answer them.
