Please see our ChronoTrader Policies and Terms of Use. Learn more about How To Include Photos In Your Postings.

Rules: Postings must be an ad announcing an intent to sell, buy or trade. Full item description and photo(s) must be posted within the message here, not as links to other websites. Links to online auctions and other sites: Links to online auctions, dealer sites or other listings of items are permitted, but you should be careful to ensure that such listings will comply with our other ChronoTrader Policies. In addition, we request that sellers linking to online auctions or listings offer some benefit or accomodation to ChronoTrader readers (for example, some discount or an undertaking to end an auction early, to keep a watch "in the family"). Photos must be of the actual item for sale in its present condition. No counterfeit or replica products. No post for the same item may be repeated within 7 days, except to lower the asking price. FS: RARE Vintage 1967 Rolex Submariner 5512, Ghost Bezel Insert!

Offered here Vintage Rolex Submariner model 5512 with a chronometer movement.
Serial # 153 * * * * points to the watch being manufactured in 1967.
The original vintage Rolex dial is in very good condition although some of the tritium on the hour markers has flaked off.
Markers: 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 11. There some luminous material was reapplied but not a perfect match.
Surely you can find a good dial man who can do a better job.
This dial is original vintage Rolex dial and not service dial like some others offered over the Internet at same or lower prices
and most sellers do not even tell you that the dial on their model is a service dial!!!

Faded “ghost” bezel insert adds to the desirable vintage look.
Much newer oyster bracelet with flip lock.
Rolex Submariner 5512 is becoming more scarce in the marketplace.
There is a personalized inscription on back cover. Not too deep and can be removed.
Now with laser welding the inscription can be first filled in and then the excess removed.
This way hardly any original surface is removed.
The crystal has a scratch, not too noticeable.
I have had this watch for many years and it is time someone else gets to enjoy it.
But it will cost you :) " border="0" alt="">This model only increases in price.
The longer you wait to buy yours, the more you will pay. More pics. for interested serious buyer.
