- A very rare reference and white, waffle dial examples are considered the most rare iterations of the reference.
-Features very nice gold hour markers and dauphine hands on the original white waffle dial, with etched diamond 'waffle' finish with a beautiful even creamy custard patina, marked 'swiss' at the 6 position as is correct
-Excellent case condition, original lines retained having not been heavily buffed or polished out. Age related wear as is desirable and to be expected. Inside caseback stamped IV.53 confirming production in the 4th quarter of 1953. Case number 950*** confirming production year. Opposite lug engraving shows Brevet logo and 6202. Underside lug engraved '18' as 6202s should be, demonstrating how well preserved the case is as this is often polished out in other examples.
-Well serviced and keeping good time. 36mm case diameter sits well on the modern wrist
-Rolex USA bimetal 14k yellow gold and steel jubilee bracelet, 50 end link, big logo Rolex USA buckle

A very rare 1953 Rolex 6202 Turnograph with original white waffle dial. Undeniably one of the most important references in Rolex history, the 6202 was only produced for a very limited time after it’s release in 1953. The reference is famously considered the ‘pre submariner’ being the brands first watch to feature the all important rotating bezel that became the foundation for the submariner line as well as pulling many other design queues from the Turnograph. Naturally it lead to the contuining turnograph and thunderbird lines but also gave birth to the all important Milgauss, with the reference 6541 taking some clear inspiration from this all important reference. Already considered a very rare and desirable reference, with the stratospheric rise of the early Submariners and Milgauss prices in the past few years, we believe this reference to be the reference to watch in the near future.
