Rules: Postings must be an ad announcing an intent to sell, buy or trade. Full item description and photo(s) must be posted within the message here, not as links to other websites. Links to online auctions and other sites: Links to online auctions, dealer sites or other listings of items are permitted, but you should be careful to ensure that such listings will comply with our other ChronoTrader Policies. In addition, we request that sellers linking to online auctions or listings offer some benefit or accomodation to ChronoTrader readers (for example, some discount or an undertaking to end an auction early, to keep a watch "in the family"). Photos must be of the actual item for sale in its present condition. No counterfeit or replica products. No post for the same item may be repeated within 7 days, except to lower the asking price. Commercial dealers are limited to three unique posts per day. [More...]

: Hi all,
: For Sale is this rare 1964 first chronograph made by Seiko, the ref
: 45899. Seiko produced this at the same time of the Tokyo Olympic
: in 1964 and it was marked with the torch logo on the caseback.
: While the caseback logo on most watches of this reference have
: faded, this one retains it very well that I decided to protect
: it using clear tape. For those who are not familiar, the chrono
: function is done with just one button, first click to start,
: second click to stop and third click to reset to zero.
: The watch is all original (with the exception on the BOR bracelet,
: it is Seiko original but not original to the watch), with no
: repaint/relume. The bezel is the original plastic, rarely
: survived in most other watches and it turns well (although
: considering the age and how fragile it is I don't recommend
: turning it too often). The dial is very clean with original
: lume. Lumes on the hour hand have developed a little blacks on
: the edges. The acrylic crystal is original and has
: scratches/hairline cracks. You can always replace this but I
: think it adds to the authencity of the watch. Case is still very
: sharp on the edges, I don't think it has been
: refinished/polished.
: The watch is running accurate. Power reserve is OK, fully wound it
: can last for about 18-20 hours. The chrono works, resets to zero
: nicely, but sometimes when you start the sweepsecond jumps 5
: seconds. Service is history is unknown.
: I'm asking USD 1500 delivered anywhere in the world using standard
: EMS, including the paypal fee. Email me if you are interested.
: Thanks,
: Haris
