I am letting go of my antique IWC Pallweber “jump” hour and minute pocket watch. The watch was sold to Weill & Harburg on January 16, 1886. W&H were a London-based boutique that specialized in high-end music boxes - this watch may have been sold in their shop or a private watch of the owner(s). The watch was certified by IWC on January 21, 2009 and the original archive extract will be included. This is one of the nicest Pallweber examples I have seen. The case is 935 sterling silver with a very tasteful enamel dial for the French market, signed “International Watch Co”. Not all IWC Pallwebers are signed on the dial. This is one of the most handsome Pallweber dials I have seen. There is a faint hairline at 2 o’clock, as seen in the photos. The Elgin II model IWC Pallweber movement is clean, also signed by IWC. The domed glass crystal is in excellent, clear condition. The case is just shy of 53mm in diameter, 18mm thick, and 73mm wide (including crown and hoop). The watch winds smooth, keeps great time, and the hours and minutes instantly "jump" at 59 seconds. Asking price is $4,000 including overnight shipping. I have displayed the watch in my home in a glass display box with a vintage IWC poster print. I’m not sure if this is everyones taste so if you don’t want it, subtract $40. I prefer wire transfer or check plus clearing time. No trades please. I have numerous references, including several IWCs.
