Oversized at circa 36,5mm (excluding crown) and ultra thin case.

Some signs of wear on the case plating (mostly on the upper side) and on the original crown.

Unique very long "dagger" hands.

The movement winds smootly and runs, i haven't checked it for accuracy, the hands are slightly misaligned. i recommend having it checked by your watchmaker if you are planning to wear it frequently.

The Nivada Antarctic line of watches was introduced for the 1957/58 Geophysical year, in particular for the U.S. Navy Operation Deep Freeze.

34,5mm unpolished all stainless steel case, very elegant with the twisted lugs
17 jewels manual winding movement
Lumed dauphine hands.

The dial has 2 darker spots on the extreme edge between 9 and 11 (see photos n.2), shows some wear but it is overall in fine vintage conditions,

The original plexi (with the magnifier date lens on the inside) has one crack at 9 and a smaller one at 4 (both on the edge of the crystal and visible on some of the photos).
The original crown shows some signs of wear. a new stem was recently installed
Movement is in working conditions and keeps time, service history unknown.

Buren manual wind cal.410, from the '40s.

35mm excluding crown
Chrome plated case, the plating on the case shows homogeneous wear.

Nice two tone dial (silver outer minute ring) with art-deco arabic numerals and a nice even patina.
Gorgeous baton blued hands.

In house Buren cal. 410 in good working conditions.
The watch will come with a nice dark blue leather strap that matches perfectly the color of the hands.
