Legendary chronograph from Wittnauer. Wittnauer was intended for the American market and has a cult status in the US for vintage lovers. This model has a chronograph function with day and month view. With the same val. 72c as the $100,000 Rolex 6236 "Killy"
The original case is in razor sharp and in fantastic condition. The original cream dial is in the best condition I have come across for especially given it's age circa 1950. The silver print and markers are incredible and the blue calendar markers are nearly perfect. The original blue steel hands are also stunning. There is only minimal wear on the sub dials and the very edges of the dial where it touch the case. All functions including the calendar are in proper working order and the power reserve is very good.
The original plexiglas crystal is good condition, however, while it is not visible during normal wear there is a 1/2" long scratch on the very left edge above 9 o'clock.
