FS: Seiko 6139-7012 JDM Speedtimer Serviced

Hi all,

I am relisting this watch as it has now undergone a complete service and a fix on the day setting. Previously I had listed the watch with a day setting problem (it couldn't be set). I brought it to a watchmaker to fix and do a complete service including seals change. So now it is back fresh, working strongly for years to come.

This watch is the Seiko 6139-7012 Speedtimer JDM. Rumor has it that this was once also issued to Japan Self Defence Force along with its cousin the 6139-7010/7011. Rumors aside, this watch is handsome without the need of a back up military stories. It is all original, lumes on the dial and hands have developed cream patina that glow under UV lights. As with JDM only watches, the day wheel on this one is Japanese Kanji and English. The day and date can be set by pushing the crown. The watch has a fixed inner tachymeter ring.

The dial is black with Seiko 5 Sports writing at twelve o'clock and and orange Speedtimer writing at nine. The dial is surrounded by small white boxes denoting the second marks and orange stripes marking the 1/5th of a second. The dial has developed unique uniform spotting throughout as can be seen in the photos.

The case of the watch is unpolished where we can still the east-west factory lines. It has little dents and scratches here and there from usage. From the case back serial number, this watch was produced in October 1971.

This watch is running normally and accurate. Start Stop buttons work nicely with sure clicks. Reset button a little stiff to press but it resets back to zero without any problem.

I'm asking USD 350 delivered anywhere in the world using EMS (with tracking number but not insured) including paypal fee.

Email me if you are interested.

Thank you,

Haris
