Please see our ChronoTrader Policies and Terms of Use. Learn more about How To Include Photos In Your Postings.

Rules: Postings must be an ad announcing an intent to sell, buy or trade. Full item description and photo(s) must be posted within the message here, not as links to other websites. Links to online auctions and other sites: Links to online auctions, dealer sites or other listings of items are permitted, but you should be careful to ensure that such listings will comply with our other ChronoTrader Policies. In addition, we request that sellers linking to online auctions or listings offer some benefit or accomodation to ChronoTrader readers (for example, some discount or an undertaking to end an auction early, to keep a watch "in the family"). FS: Rare 1967 Bulova Snorkel Model J, Ref.11403W, Bakelite Bezel

For sale is a insanely rare and beautiful example of the iconic Bulova Diver - Snorkel Model J - Ref. 11403W, dated M7=1967. This model was only produced by Bulova for 1 year, and in small numbers. The serial number of this particular example is quite low at #399 as seen etched on the case back. This version is larger than a standard Snorkel at approx. 36.4mm, and has a stunning bi-rotational bakelite bezel. The stainless steel case with screwed back is unpolished and in beautiful condition. Overall size is: 36.4mm (excluding crown) & 43.2 mm lug to lug.

The matt black dial & hands are original, and the lume has aged to a gorgeous matching patina between them. Some lume loss on the sweep seconds hand, and a split in the lume on the minute hand, but all stable as seen. Original signed Bulova crown. The watch comes with it's original JB Champion stainless steel signed bracelet as seen in the advertisement below.

The service history is unknown, but the Bulova movement in the watch is running well and keeping very good time. Please note: It appears to have been replaced at some point as its dated earlier than the watch. I have sourced the proper year (M7=1967) 11ALAC Bulova Movement in outstanding condition as seen in the pictures, and this is included in the sale. This can be replaced by your watchmaker at your convenience. Until then, enjoy as is. I truly hate letting this one go, but funds are needed for a new piece. I have only seen a handful of this reference on the market, and most in very poor condition.

I am asking $1350 or closest reasonable offer plus shipping. I ship via UPS or USPS fully Insured with tracking. I accept PayPal, Venmo or Wire. Please feel free to message me with any questions or interest. jdb35bdj@hotmail.com">jdb35bdj@hotmail.com
