FS: **REDUCED** Omega Equinoxe REVERSO 1981

Hello CT,

Here for sale I have a gorgeous Omega Equinoxe.

Maker: Omega
Model: Equinoxe
Functions: Date, countdown, alarm, chronograph, hourly signs
Case Material: Stainless steel and gold
Case Width: 28x30mm
Case Thickness: 9mm
Crystal: Plexiglass
Lume: Yes, tritium
Lug Width: –
Box/Papers: N/A

There’s so much to say about this watch, so why not start by saying this: this particular model, the ‘Equinoxe’, was the world first watch to feature two watches on the same watch case. Yes, even before JLC did it, Omega produced this masterpiece only in 1981. This watch is as rare as it gets.

Analog and classic on one side, and digital and revolutionary on the other, this watch has it all.

Now, let’s assess the condition of the watch. This watch is in really good condition. Case is sharp, with some scratches in the bracelet due to normal usage. Both screens are in mint condition, except the little scratch on the LCD screen (seen in pictured). All functions work properly, including: alarm, countdown, chronograph, time-setting… There are very few Equinoxes with all of their functions working properly. Bracelet will fit a wrist of up to 17cm.

The case is fitted together by a set of screws (properly sealed by our trustworthy watchmaker, although don’t get it wet just in case some of the electronic components get damaged). It measures 28x30mm, and one could think it’s a small watch for today’s standards. I might have to disagree with that, it wears larger and the wrist presence is strong (maybe due to the Royal Oak(-ish) type bracelet).

Having noted the above, this watch is a piece of Omega and watchmaking history, and any collector should appreciate it for what it is.

This watch will come with a printed instruction manual for you to set the watch to your preference. At first, it could be overwhelming the amount of functions and hidden pushers (they’re integrated to the watch case) this watch has, but you get used to it by using it for 5 straight minutes.

It is a unique opportunity to grab a piece of watchmaking history for a very acceptable price. Don’t let it go!

PRICE: WAS 1400€, NOW 1100€ NET TO ME Shipping is included in the price. Watch and I are located in Spain. Payment methods: wire, PayPal (add 4% for Goods and services).
