Here for sale I have a beautiful Heuer Pre-Carrera.
The watch is all original (excluding the bracelet and buckle, that are NOT included). The dial is a matte white color, with a slight patina and some imperfections throughout (deeper patina on the subdials, little spots and marks). The tritium is all intact, maintaining all the original luminous material. The stainless-steel case is in really good condition, lightly polished in the past, but not overdone. The movement, a Heuer-signed Valjoux 72, is ticking strongly and without any flaws. It was serviced a couple of years ago but it has now been checked for correct functioning.
Crown and pushers are both original to the watch. The bridge on the movement is correctly not signed (as Heuer produced movements with both the bridge signed and unsigned)
About the watch:
This watch was manufactured by Heuer in, I believe, the late 1950s or early 1960s. What is sure is that it was before 1963, as Heuer didn't register their models until then. This is the predecesor of the famous Heuer Carrera 12.
What stands out about this watch is the unique lume shape combiend with the thick-ish filled alpha hands. This manual winding chronograph has three subdials: the one at 9 with the constantly running seconds, the one at 3 counting up to 30 minutes on the chronograph, and the one at 6 recording every chronograph hour (and half-an-hour) up until 12 hours.
The whole watch is stainless-steel, including both the hands and the indices (that are applied). The Heuer logo is correct for this model, and it is printed.
