Hi all,
Up for sale is my vintage Seiko Sportmatic Silverwave 30, ref.69799 – the actual first Seiko Dive watch ever. Here’s the details:
1. Case: 37.5mm stainless steel case. Case is sharp, lugs are thick and chunky, show full facets and original finishing. Probably this case has not been polished before, very some normal wear.
Lug-width is 18mm. Case back is in good condition, “Tsunami” engravements are visible, can be read easily. Serial number 4300XXX dated back to 1964 – the year this watch was introduced – so this is one of the earliest batch.
2. Dial & hands: all original & aged to the condition as pictured. Lume spots are all intact on both dial and hands. The discolour around the dial seems to look better in person, it is not as contrast and exaggerate as it is shown in the photo. To my taste, it looks very nicely aged.
3. Movement: original 245 movement serviced in 2019. It keeps good time & runs strong. Accuracy is unknown as it’s not important to me. Bezel turns smoothly, some lume loss at 12 o’clock. I don’t there is a need for further service anytime soon.
4. Crown: original unsigned crown, wind & set time smoothly.
5. Glass: unknown originality but I believe it to be original.
6. Strap: not included.
7. I’m asking US$ 450, price is net to me including shipping, excluding Paypal fees. Bank transfer to my local Singapore bank account is a preferred option, buyer to cover bank fees.
Other info and condition of sale:
1. Reason for sale is to thin my collection. There is nothing wrong with the watch.
2. Item will be shipped worldwide via DHL Express Worldwide, insured and shipping charge is covered by me. All import taxes are at buyer's responsibility.
3. I've done many deals on OmegaForums successfully, plus many others on Instagram & Chronotraders. Reference on request.
