FSOT: 1960s Universal Genève Space-Compax Reference 885104/01 *PIC*

Now considering trades. Thanks for your offers.

A Universal Genève chronograph is always a great choice. But have you considered the boldest of all ? This Space Compax is a rare watch, with various theories about its original purpose, some pretending it was designed with the space exploration in mind, whereas some think it was actually a diving chronograph. In both cases, the bold case and the typical rubber pushers make it a strong watch, made for extreme conditions.

Very well preserved, this model features the rare and desirable “reverse panda” dial, with a black dial and white sub-registers. It comes also with polished hands and blued register hands.

Details

Brand: Universal Geneve

Reference: 885104/01
Year: Circa 1960
Case material: Stainless Steel
Movement: Manual UG 85

Condition

The watch is overall in excellent condition. The case looks great, showing light and usual wear marks. The dial is in perfect condition, showing a stunning patina. What you see on the pic is a light mark on the plexi. The bezel is undamaged, which is rare and sought after by collectors. The movement has been professionally serviced. Please note that the reset pusher is a little hard to manipulate, which is mostly due to its design.

Price
For this rare UG in nice condition, I am asking 10.500€ (special price for forum members).
