Links to online auctions and other sites: Links to online auctions, dealer sites or other listings of items are permitted, but you should be careful to ensure that such listings will comply with our other ChronoTrader Policies. I am offering for sale this Heuer Autavia 1163 “Viceroy” from 1972 circa, I think every user of this forum will know the Viceroy promotion story behind this watch.
As you can see from the images below, the watch is in a great condition, quite difficult IMHO to find a better one for the asking price.
Dial: absolutely spotless, very clean, has original lume on indexes and hands, the chrono subcounters are white with no stains or scratches, minute and hour hands are perfect and have their red stripe intact.
Plexi: an original NOS plexi has been installed, is simply perfect, not an hairline.
Bezel: the Tachy bezel is in great conditions as you can see.
Case: has been lightly refurbished by a professional watchmaker (and when I say “lightly” it means it has not been totally refurbished but only the sunburst has been freshened), so case still retains its original small nicks and scratches, the beveled edges are fat and regular, the back edges are sharp like a razor, the sunburst is simply perfect, case is marked "1163 V" /the "V" is under the strap) and serial is 273xxx, both very readable and unpolished.
Movement: the Cal12 is running perfectly as has been serviced in 2018, chronograph starts and stops as it should and resets exactly to 12, the pushers are very crisp. You know, a movement service of a Buren Cal12 would not cost less than 300Euro, so please take into account this aspect, the watch is “ready to enjoy” and will not need a service for years.
Other images upon request.
I am offering the watch with the Abel Court replica Corfam strap (and generic buckle) pictured into the images above.
Price is 3900 Euro + shipping (to be discussed apart), preferred payment by BT but also PP is OK if you pay fees (4%) and if I know you, I give a full refund in case of any issue or if the watch would not be as described.
Delivery face-to-face is welcome in northern Italy and you can save shipping costs.
I am a long-term and well known user of this forum, plenty of references available on request.
Thank you all for reading and to Jeff for this space.
