FS: Enicar Vintage Sherpa Super Jet 33 ref. 126/003, 40 mm case

ChronoScope Collector watches present this attractive and well preserved Enicar Sherpa Super Jet 33 MK 1 ref. 126/003.

From a technical point of view, there is truly so much to love about this watch. From the Sea Pearl caseback engraving, the in-house calibre with a high jewel count, to the EPSA Super compressor case and the architecture of the lugs. These features make a supremely wearable timepiece. A bit more refined and restrained than the Sherpa Guide 600, but with the similar sense of toughness and usefulness.
Please read the condition report carefully and refer to the high resolution pictures to assess the overall condition of the watch.

MODEL / REFERENCE: Enicar Sherpa Super Jet 33 MK 1 ref. 126/003.

DIAL: The original silver sunburst dial is very clean overall and has aged well. The imprint is still very crisp, presenting no losses whatsoever. The use of different text fonts is one of the coolest little subtleties of this watch.
The dial has aged uniformly, developing subtle speckles that appear like small bubbles under magnification. A couple of very minor discoloration marks can be seen at the periphery of the dial especially between 9 and 10 o’clock markers.
The raised Silver baton hour markers are thin and coupled with mostly intact lume square plots, whereas the 6, 9 and 12 indexes are broader and grooved, combined with inverted Tritium squares for easy legibility underwater.

HANDS: The hands are original and they have aged at the same rate as the dial’s. They’re in very good condition nevertheless. The GMT hand’s red tip has faded a bit to a deep subtle crimson and has developed some surface oxidation. The thick blocky baton hands present intact lume stripes at their respective ends.

INNER ROTATING BEZEL: The two-tone 24-hour inner bezel is clean. The revolving bezel rotates smoothly when operated by the crown at 2 o’clock.

CRYSTAL: The domed plexiglass crystal is original, armed with a tension ring and is in fine condition displaying only minor hairline scratches.

CASE: The Ervin Piquerez S.A. (EPSA) stainless steel Super Compressor case measures 40 mm in diameter, crowns excluded. The case is still crisp overall, retaining its extended, thickly sculpted lugs with visible facets, suggesting being unpolished. Some surface scratches and small nicks can be seen, especially on the sides, which are typical of normal wear in line with the age of this tool watch.

CROWNS: The original cross hatched crowns are signed with a well-defined Saturn logo. The crowns are thick for a better grip and they operate smoothly as the upper one rotates the inner bezel. The bottom crown winds and sets the time and date flawlessly.

CASEBACK: The original screw down caseback bears some scratches from previous opening attempts. The Seapearl oyster medallion at the center is still very prominent with its sandblasted finish.
The inner side is stamped with the right nomenclature, from the signature diver’s helmet to the case’s serial numbers.

MOVEMENT: This watch is powered by the high quality, in-house Enicar AR1126 Automatic Movement. This 33 jewel calibre was an upgrade to the standard AR1145/46 movements, which only had 24 jewels. This calibre offers a whole range of features: Displays hours, minutes, sweep seconds, a second timezone and a date function located at 3 o’clock.
As would be expected, it has been recently serviced thus running beautifully. All functions work flawlessly as intended. The hands have some play which is only noted when setting the time. It does not affect the operation of the watch and is not noticeable during wear.

BRACELET: This watch looks great with a brand new grey leather strap with red stitching, matching the red tip of the 24 hour hand.

ACCESSORIES: ChronoScope Saffiano Leather Watch Roll.
This very timepiece beholds loads of vintage tool watch charm. The Silver dial Super Jet 33 models appear to be less common than their black dial counterparts. On top of that, the upgraded movement with the higher jewel count adds a nice touch to this whole package that feels authentic and vintage in a very positive sense.

WARRANTY: We guarantee the authenticity of the watch. We also provide 12 months guarantee for the correct function of this timepiece. All guarantees are subject to the General Terms and conditions of ChronoScope Collector Watches, Switzerland.

The price is 3,450 CHF (Swiss Franc) or best reasonable offer plus shipping at actual cost. Low ball offers will be politely ignored.
