Solvil et Titus Calypsomatic Ref. 8895 Big Crown with original strap Up

for sale is a vintage Titus Calypsomatic Ref. 8895 Big Crown from around 1976 in very good vintage condition. The Ref. 8895 is the latest development in the Titus Calypsomatic series.

The highlight of this attractive vintage diver is the perfect condition of the matte black dial with the tritium indices and the original signed stainless steel bracelet.

Model / Reference: Solvil et Titus Calypsomatic Ref. 8895 "Big Crown"

Dial+Hands: The dial is in excellent original condition, I couldn't find a single flaw. All imprints are original and razor sharp. The date wheel is clean. The tritium lume markers are all intact and have aged nicely.

The hour, minute, and second hands have the original tritium lume, except for the center portion of the minute hand, which has been professionally re-illuminated. When activated with UV light, the tritium on the hour markers and hands lights up briefly and then goes out.

Glass: plexiglass in good condition. Please note that the pictures show some scratches, which will be polished by my watchmaker before delivery.

Movement & Function: fhf Cal. 909 movement in clean and fully working condition.

Case: 38mm stainless steel case in unpolished vintage condition, retaining factory finish and crisp lugs. The case shows signs of wear consistent with the age of the watch. Please see the pictures for reference. The case measures 46mm from lug to lug. Lug width 20 mm.

Case back: stainless steel, factory engraved case back in good condition with signs of wear. The caseback is individually engraved "Mercanton sa 71 - 76".

Crown: original signed crown.

Bracelet: The watch comes on the original stainless steel bracelet with a signed folding clasp in good condition.

Acessoires: Saffiano Watch Roll

Function: All functions work as they should. The watch keeps good time for a vintage watch.
