FS: Rolex 5010 bubble back ROSE gold on steel

For sale is this beauty of a bubble back. Dating back to 1948 this original bubble back has quite the unique combination. The bezel is made out of Rose gold where as the case is made out of stainless steel.

Why do people call these bubble backs? Well a short history lesson here, rolex was one of the first to come up with a rotor design for an automatic movement. But these were based around a handwound movement with the addition of a rotor on top. To get this all in one case they moved backwards with the caseback giving these a more bubble look. Hence the name bubble back. This is also the reason why a watch with a 17mm lug width and 33.5mm case diameter ( measured from 4 to 10) actually wears very contemporary.

Sold with a luxury gift box shipped by DHL Express. Package can be filled with packing paper or bubblewrap depending on what we have on hand.
