FS: REDUCED: unique vintage Tissot Yacht, service, 2 dials & box

Here comes the ideal vintage chronograph for both, tropical summer vibes as well as the "golden hour":

I am offering this freshly serviced Tissot vintage Yachting Navigator, ref. 45503 from around the mid 1970s. It’s a massive watch with automatic winding (movement: Tissot 2170 = Lemania 1341). The diameter is a 43mm (without crown), the lug width is 22mm. The watch comes on its highly desirable original stainless steel bracelet in more than sufficient length (on my 18cm wrist there are still four positions in the clasp adjustment, as well as an additional two disassembled links for further extension).

The special feature of this example is the exceptionally aged dial (aka tropical stardust dial), which makes the watch a unique piece and absolute eye-catcher. It was originally blue and has taken on a spectacular dark purple hue with orange colour sprinkles due to natural influences. Additionally, a never used blue dial (new old stock with light storage marks) is included so that the new owner can always have the watch restored to its original configuration.

The case shows the usual signs of wear of a gladly worn but well cared for 70's watch, it remains unpolished with nice bevels and the original finishing still preserved. The acrylic crystal is also very clearly contoured with no cracks or distracting scratches. The entire handset and the unsigned crown are 100% correct for this reference.

The movement has just undergone a full service, so all functions exactly as they should (including the date mechanism and its quick setting as well as the chronograph functions start, stop, restart and reset) and the watch is ready to wear. As always with vintage chronographs, it should be kept away from water as water resistance cannot be guaranteed.

Moreover, the Tissot comes with a period correct large vintage Tissot box, so it’s not only a great daily beater but can also be displayed appropriately.

Reduced price: EUR 1.160,-, plus international insured shipping according to destination.

Eventually, here come the pics (all unedited, please click to enlarge).

The watch is located in Austria (EU) and so am I. I do have plenty of international references from various watch enthusiasts (also known here), so please feel free to ask for them.

Just for the records: I am a private collector and, therefore, the watch comes without any personal guarantee given by me. Nevertheless, I am offering to give a full refund less fully insured shipping expenses in case the piece sold would not be as described by me (within an inspection period of three days and to buyers from within the EU only due to the complex customs procedure in case of an overseas deal).

Thanks for reading and thanks to the Chronotrader platform and its host!

Kind regards,
F.Antl
