FS: Heuer 510.501 Lemania 5100 PVD

Alas, another is on the chopping block :0( Another I’ll probably regret fully.. grr,

Here we have an all original Heuer 510.501, from c1984. This is the day and date model, more sought after IMHO, than the ‘date only’ variant. Not many of these on the market right now – and they seem to be advertised at silly money.

It has the bullet proof Lemania 5100 movement, fully serviced by Steve at Rytetime in the Summer of 2011. He also fitted a correct flat glass – some of the early pics show it with a curved glass.

The dial and handset is fantastic.. so many have uneven faded orange bits.
The PVD case is all original.. it has seen some action in it’s time, and has wear and light scratches and a few dings. The one pusher has a scratch on it.. but for it’s age, the PVD isn’t actually too bad at all.. most I’ve seen are buggered. But don’t expect a safe queen.. this is a tool watch that has been used !

Oh, and these L5100 commonly have a wavy spring that sits around the movement.. it is a pressure fit ring that presses against the caseback.. these often go missing, as is the case with this one. In it’s place is a rubber gasket, which Steve checked, and does the job just fine.

Comes on the DiModell aviator strap shown (can’t remember the strap name!), which suits the watch really well, better than any other strap I’ve tried.
