FS: J.Auricoste 1950's Steel chrono cal.2040 Lemania 15TL

A superb 1950's Stainless Steel J.Auricoste two register chronograph wristwatch.
3 Piece Stainless Steel case is in near mint condition with only the faintest of marks visible if you look very closely retaining it's contrasting brushed and polished finishes, stamped marks inside the engine turned snap back ACIER INOXYDABLE 63429. Stainless Steel oval pushers and crown.

Original champagne silvered dial with raised gilt numerals has some spotting and patina but is still perfectly legible, has sub dial for running seconds and another for elapsed minutes and also a Tachymeter scale around the outside

All gilt hands are original and in perfect condition

Powering this watch is an Auricoste cal.2040 or Lemania 15TL column wheel chronograph movement which is considered by many watch people to be the best chronograph movement of it's time! It's in good running order with all chronograph fucntions working as they should and the sweep seconds and minute register hand resetting accurately to zero.

Comes on a brand new Alligator strap with a Stainless Steel buckle
