FSOT: rare Candino Vintage Diver Submarine Superautomatik * '60s *

Hello CTF,

I’m selling or trading my favourite vintage diver watch because I need a change.

It’s a Candino Submarine Superautomatik 800 ft (20 ATM) with 35 (38)mm diameter (with the crown).

The distance between the horns is 18 mm.

The movement of this rare diver watch is an ETA 2452 which got a full service in March 2013 with ½ years warranty by the German watchmaker (Movement, Gaskets and Plexi). The hands actually got a perfectly tuned SL-relume. Indices, 6 and 12 are still Tritium (or Radium ?).

The screwed caseback is signed:

SUBMARINE-CASE * ALL STAINLESS STEEL * SHOCKRESISTANT * INCABLOC * SWISS

and

Pressurised 800 ft (20 ATM) Full Proof

Asking at Candino Swiss Watch (today: Festino Lotus SA) the information about this Submarine Superautomatik is, that it was manufactured only three years, from 1965 until 1968. Other papers or information are unfortunately not available. As Candino (estab. 1947) was a real small swiss manfacture in the 1960s it cannot be compared with the todays brand “Candino” of the Festina Lotus SA.

The watch is in a good optical condition, only the dial shows normal little “paint damages” at the edge. The movement works very steady and the date turns correctly. The nylonstrap is included.

For this rare bird I ask 490 € plus shipping - but I am also interested in a trade against e.g. a perfectly working Vintage Heuer Quartz Diving Watch – just make me some offers.

For further information please contact me by eMail, without NOSPAM. The watch is located in Germany.

Thanks a lot,

Marcus
