A little about my watches
In Response To: Not 2447 but 73653 Carrera ()

I realize any parts are tough to find and people don't want to give them up. I will try to at least convince you that these will go to a good home. I got my Monaco for my 21st birthday after my grandfather passed away. He was a well decorated pilot in the war and continued to fly after - the Monaco was his flying watch. We found it in his sock drawer, beaten from being a daily wear item, and not working. My parents sent it to Tag to be reworked for my birthday. My fathers only stipulation? Wear it.. don't keep it perfect in a drawer. I've worn it every day since and it is the only nice watch I have owned. My goal is simple, over time I would like to try and get a Carrera and Autavia as well. I love cars and these are the most fitting "car" watches that I know of.

So here I am with this little Carrera. It won't get re-sold, it won't hide away in a drawer. It'll get worn.... I just want it to be right.

Thanks for the help!

Neil
