Scott - thank you for your input. I appreciate your thoughts. I prefer to give the benefit of the doubt and believe that Eric Davril did, in fact, send the watch. I did not notice it at first, but the box, which appeared sealed upon arrival at my home, had a razor-blade incision along an edge that had been taped and sealed. It appears that someone may have opened the box in transit. Inside the box was crumpled French newpaper used for packing.
I submitted a claim with the U.S. Postal Service, the carrier on my end. However, they are not hopeful.
The issue here is whether Eric Davril (aka Fanny Brawne) should have tried to save his money by not purchasing insurance to protect my Euro 1000?
