Rules: Postings must be an ad announcing an intent to sell, buy or trade. Full item description and photo(s) must be posted within the message here, not as links to other websites. Links to online auctions and other sites: Links to online auctions, dealer sites or other listings of items are permitted, but you should be careful to ensure that such listings will comply with our other ChronoTrader Policies. In addition, we request that sellers linking to online auctions or listings offer some benefit or accomodation to ChronoTrader readers (for example, some discount or an undertaking to end an auction early, to keep a watch "in the family"). Photos must be of the actual item for sale in its present condition. No counterfeit or replica products. No post for the same item may be repeated within 7 days, except to lower the asking price. Commercial dealers are limited to three unique posts per day. [More...]
Thanks all for looking and thanks Chronotrader for the space
Up for sale is a late sixties Longines 8226-1 with caliber 330/valjoux 72 in excellent vintage condition and with all functions working as they should (stops, starts and returns to zero). Just a well preserved vintage watch in a modern size with (imho) great wrist presence and pop (check out that Newmanesque sub dial and the yellow chrono hand!) Price is 2000 USD (net) via paypal or wire and includes watch head, Longines Extract from the Archives and insured, overnight shipping to the US via ParcelPro. No international deals at this time, thanks. Happy to answer any questions, provide additional pictures or references via email or phone.
Dial
Excellent condition, appears to be all original with Tritium markers. All of the subdials show a slight bit of discoloration on the outer edges, with the hour totalizer being the most obvious. See high res pictures below for additional detail.
Hands
Excellent condition with lume matching the dial
Case
The original brushed finish has been polished, however, the original lines of the case are still present and sharp as seen in pictures below. Pushers and crowns (signed) are correct for this watch
Crystal
Mint. Please excuse any dust on the photos
Bezel
Excellent condition and works as it should
Let the pictures do the talking!
