FS: N.O.S. c1972 Breitling ‘Sprint’ chronograph ref.2016

Up for sale is my new-old-stock Breitling chronograph. It’s an unusual piece – the body is made of resin, with a metal bezel. To my knowledge, and to its appearance, never worn. There is even still a squeak from the strap against the case if you angle the strap down as if to put it on.

I’m selling for a couple of reasons – firstly because I have gone mad for Heuer, and having only just got started with this hobby, I want to channel my resources there. Secondly, the NOS status has put me in a dilemma. Part of its value is in its ‘newness’, and I feel torn between preserving that, and simply enjoying it (and depreciating its value by wearing it).

Well, I’ll leave that dilemma to a new owner.

This particular piece was part of a run of NOS Breitling watches sold at Antiquorum in Geneva in May 2016. I paid CHF 3,250 including buyer’s premium.

Perhaps that is high. So, rather than set a price here, I am going to invite offers. If your offer is reasonable, even if it is below what I paid, I will consider it.

In the end, if it doesn’t sell, I will just wear it and be done with ‘loss’! ;-)

Thank you for your consideration.

(NB – I am based in Hong Kong, and I will be travelling this coming weekend, so please excuse any tardiness in replies. I will do my best).
