FS: FS: Benrus MIL-W-3818B 1965 *PIC*

For sale is a piece of American military history - a nice example of a Benrus MIL-W-3818B manufactured in March 1965.

I am sure that many of you know the rich history behind this American field watch. In 1964, Benrus got orders to provide the U.S. military with reliable watches during the Vietnam war and MIL-W-3818B was the first result. A durable watch with 34mm case in blasted steel fitted with a Benrus DR 2F2-works, which basically is a Benrus signed ETA 2372 - a 17 jewel hand wound movement with hacking feature. The spring bars on this one are not fixed and the lugs are drilled, so it's entirely possible to fit any strap you prefer. The case is of monocoque type, and opened through the acrylic crystal. The watch comes in a new and almost unused 18mm green nato strap.

I haven't measured any time deviation and service history is unknown, therefore, the watch is sold with a recommandation of having it serviced. I haven't noticed any major deviation when wearing it, though. NOTE: The minute hand is 15 minutes off of the hour hand, ie when the hour hand stands at 24.00 is the minute hand is at 23:45. Easily fixed with the right tools. Nothing that has bugged me, however.

Price: 300 EUR.
Shipping: The watch is located in Sweden and I will ship with a suitable alternative depending on destination. Shipping not included in price.
Return: Yes, if the watch wouldn't meet my description.

I'd be happy to send more pics over email.
