FS: Omega Seamaster 166.068 Poppy

This is a very rare Omega Seamaster 200 Poppy from 1970. The 166.068 reference has two dial variants this one called “Poppy” being much harder to find than the Banana. These watches were known to have been used by the French Military

Overall this watch is in fantastic original condition, showing some signs of age.

The acrylic bezel is absolutely mint, the vibrant orange simply pops.

The mineral glass scratch-less crystal was replaced with a correct original from Omega.

The hands are original but were relumed at some point.

This watch was purchased from the original owner.

Watch was serviced recently - you will see in the picture below the movement is in fantastic condition.

I do not believe that this watch has been polished (but I cannot be 100% sure). I tried to take pictures to accurately capture the current condition of the case, dial, movement etc..

Here is some more info:
Movement #: 565 (Automatic)
Model #: 166.068
Series: Seamaster 200
Case diameter: 41mm (not including crown)
Serial #: 31 million

Price: $2,950 USD OBRO – watch will come with Black / Orange rally strap as well as the NATO (as shown) includes PayPal and shipping within Canada and CONUS

The Omega 1171 SS bracelet with 631 end links can be included for an addition fee of $350

I know that the term rare is often over used by people selling vintage watches. But I think you’d be hard pressed to find another Poppy dialed SM200 on the market, especially in this condition.

I have a lot of references

Thanks for looking
