Rules: Postings must be an ad announcing an intent to sell, buy or trade. Full item description and photo(s) must be posted within the message here, not as links to other websites. Links to online auctions and other sites: Links to online auctions, dealer sites or other listings of items are permitted, but you should be careful to ensure that such listings will comply with our other ChronoTrader Policies. FS: Incredibly rare steel Eberhard Contodat ref 14900

For sale:

an Eberhard Contodat reference 14900 from the 1950's. The first generation contodat is a really rare watch and especially in steel. I have seen 4 or maybe 5 examples in total over the years. The case is 37/38mm but wears bigger due to the long and beefy lugs and the height. The movement is the first chronograph with date display designed by Dubois-Depraz especially for Eberhard.
The watch has a lot of presence on the wrist, due to the size, the original roulette datewheel and the dauphine hands.

Dial: original untouched/unrestored dial with some signs of age.
Hands: original dauphine hands
Crown: original E signed Eberhard crown.
Case: looks unpolished with engravings clearly visible and chamfers sharp as knifes
Movement: Completely overhauled by my watchmaker (from whom I bought it) and 100% original.

I am taking offers on this one but it won't go cheap.
