Rules: Postings must be an ad announcing an intent to sell, buy or trade. Full item description and photo(s) must be posted within the message here, not as links to other websites. Links to online auctions and other sites: Links to online auctions, dealer sites or other listings of items are permitted, but you should be careful to ensure that such listings will comply with our other ChronoTrader Policies. In addition, we request that sellers linking to online auctions or listings offer some benefit or accomodation to ChronoTrader readers (for example, some discount or an undertaking to end an auction early, to keep a watch "in the family"). Photos must be of the actual item for sale in its present condition. No counterfeit or replica products. No post for the same item may be repeated within 7 days, except to lower the asking price. Commercial dealers are limited to three unique posts per day. [More...]
Offered is a superb original example from 1968 of the Omega Seamasdter Chronostop" Jumbo" 41mm case. Not to be confused with the much smaller Chronostop variants, the Seamaster version shares its case with the "soccer" Chronograph and was available in a range of inner bezel options. This version is arguably the most useful with a fixed tachy scale around the racing dial.
This particular example comes in original inner and outer Omega boxes with service history including the most recent work undertaken by Terry Casey (TCA) to include movement service, new mainspring, new (OE) Omega Crown, new (OE) Omega hesalite crystal (signed) and re-luming of the original hands and lozenge at 12 at a total cost of £360 in November 2016.
The case is original and unpolished with a mix of brushed finish and bright bevels. It is fitted with a pattern Omega Seamaster 22mm straight end bracelet and is supplied with a Ploprof type shark mesh strap and high quality black NATO as well. The caseback is original and has all the Seamaster markings intact with no deep "gouging".
This is one of the best "unmolested" examples available with service history and original boxes.
No warranty implied or provided on vintage watches but the service history from TCA should provide significant comfort.
