FS: Longines 7970 diver vintage (1967/68) Serviced /Warranty

Dear Chronotrader readers,

Up for sale today is my Longines Diver 7970 all original.
It is part of the emblematic models of the late 60s and is powered by the Ultra Chron 431 caliber developed by Longines to commemorate the company's 100th anniversary.

Quadruple signature: dial, bottom of box, movement and crown.

The steel case in excellent condition is shaped beveled cushion : 41 x 40 mm off crown.

The case back signs Longines / Ultra-Chron is numbered.

You will certainly notice the beauty of the rare Tritium dial (T Swiss T at 6 o'clock) black called "Spider Dial" enhanced by the superb orange minute hands.
The dial is so called for its resemblance to a spider's web.
Practically invisible to wear it and typically the kind of detail that makes it unique to the eyes of a watch collector !

The uni-directional rotating bezel has the same colour for index fingers and the Bakelite insert is protected by a thin plastic film identical to the vintage Seamaster 300. : A vintage finish as it is appreciated nowadays!

The famous automatic caliber 431 Ultra-Chron Longines, 25 rubies, 4 setting positions and temperature, micrométrie regulator, beats at 36,000 vibrations per hour: independently of a diabolical precision (which Longines used in his communication of the time Calling it "The most accurate watch in the world") the seconds hand seems to literally slide over the dial smoothly: Hypnotic!

The date is semi-automatic: it is enough to carry out the passage of the hour hand from 9 am to 3 pm to adjust very quickly the date.
Perfect operation: Immediate passage (in one time) of the date at midnight stack: impressive!

The caliber has just been completely serviced by my watchmaker vintage certified (Swatch Group) and thus benefits from a total warranty of 1 year until 22/11/2017.

The black real shark bracelet is new and the buckle is a generic.
