Rules: Postings must be an ad announcing an intent to sell, buy or trade. Full item description and photo(s) must be posted within the message here, not as links to other websites. Links to online auctions and other sites: Links to online auctions, dealer sites or other listings of items are permitted, but you should be careful to ensure that such listings will comply with our other ChronoTrader Policies. In addition, we request that sellers linking to online auctions or listings offer some benefit or accomodation to ChronoTrader readers (for example, some discount or an undertaking to end an auction early, to keep a watch "in the family"). Photos must be of the actual item for sale in its present condition. No counterfeit or replica products. No post for the same item may be repeated within 7 days, except to lower the asking price. Commercial dealers are limited to three unique posts per day. [More...]
I've had this one for about 3 years and need to get it off the bench to make room for an incoming grail. This is a serial # 427xxx with a date-correct IV 1958 case back. Watch has seen plenty of polishing as seen in the high-rez crops I've provided. Rolex matte service dial is nice but has a smudge/scrape through "officially" and a small nick in the first "E" in perpetual. Please see high rez crop for details. These flaws are very negligible when on the wrist. 1030 movement is running well, but I have no idea of when it was last serviced. I'm betting at least 10 years ago, so I assume that it is greatly in need of a CLA. Keeping pretty good time despite lack of service, shows how bullet-proof these old movements were...
Many aftermarket parts on this watch including: bezel, insert, hands, date-wheel.
The items I can guarantee are genuine Rolex: dial(not original to the watch, it is a later Rolex matte service dial), case and case-back, movement and crown. Crown has a small ding in it.
I think the pictured strap looks cool on this watch, so will include it with the purchase.
Serious buyers please feel free to contact me for questions or more photos.
Asking $8,000 OBRO plus shipping. pp (either gift or you pay the fee) or bank transfer. I prefer a US sale at this time.
No returns unless I have misrepresented something.
Cheers,
Todd
