FS: Wakmann Triple Date Panda Chronograph, Valjoux 730, 39mm

On offer's one of the harder-to-find 39mm all steel iterations of this watch. This one's a project I've never made the time to get to.

Unpolished Gigandet-signed steel case has only very faint scuffing. Turned-down lugs are thick and exceptionally sharp. Signed crown has some damage to the insignia, but is perfectly functional.

The panda dial's in fantastic shape; under 10x loupe there are no marks that I can see. Stainless steel markers and hands are all in fine shape, ditto the red chrono seconds hand. White subdials and date-ring are all bright and in great shape.

The signed movement currently functions somewhat: the watch keeps sort of amazingly good time, and the totalizer at 9 is fine. The chronograph is operational—the top button gets the red seconds hand moving, but the chrono hands gets hung up on the watch's minute hand. Bottom button resets chrono seconds and hour hand to 12. The chrono minute hand is missing; I lost it in my safe, frustratingly.

The day/date/month functions are all in need of work. Pushers don't advance; day/date/month don't advance manually. The crud around the gasket it just dirt, not rust.

Asking $1600USD ONO on this. Happy to provide whatever's requested (references, more pictures), and to work out payment and shipping methods with buyer. Thanks for looking, and to Jeff/CT for the space.
