Hello Gigi, the watch come from a guy. His uncle was employed for Aereonautica militare Italiana, from the same guy I bought my Zenith A.Cairelli. The uncle was in charge of destroying watches at the end of the military service.
The watch has been used for many years, no self made engravings but the military code went off: someone during the years may have erased the engravings or the abrasion may come from a nato strap years after years.
I don’t have other explanations, all watch parts are fine for a Leonidas CP2.
