FS: Wittnauer 242T

Not sure what needs to be said about this watch. This is a particularly stunning example. Lume plots are all full and match the hands; everything's gone a very soft yellow. The Valjoux 72 keeps perfect time and starts/stops/resets to 12 each time. That said: I hope whoever ends up with this has it serviced. I have no idea of its history; it's worked well for me. The dial is flawless. Happy to send more+better pictures. Matte black with glossy rings around the subregisters, there really isn't a thing wrong. The 38.5mm steel case has evidence of light wear but has clearly never been polished; lugs are sharp, ditto bevels, and the crown is signed. It's a collector's-grade piece.

Given the scarcity of these, I honestly don't know their current price, especially in this condition, and not having been relumed. They seem all over the map (a rough looking one at Christies this summer, the last few on ebay, $10k plus ones from dealers). If possible, I'd like to just accept offers on this (please be reasonable). Not much interested in trades. Watch and I are located in Indiana; happy to work out shipping and payment methods with buyer. Of course I'm happy to provide more pictures, explanations, references, whatever else is requested. Thanks for looking, and to Jeff/CT for the space.
