Hi all,
Up for grabs is this Gallet Multichron with Excelsior Park 40-68 inside.
The dial has aged to a chocolate brown.
All luminous is original
This is a one-owner watch (aside from me).
The original owner is a WWII vet who worked for the FBI for many years.
Condition:
Dial: Original with original lume. It appears a watchmaker applied putty or paint to the dial long ago to cover up a scratch between 4 and 5. the dial aged brown around the putty, which has remained a black color.
Hands: original with original lume
Case: great except for the scratches on the back from when the owner tried to get movement photos and scratched up the back with scissors. the case remains unpolished and for that reason i decided to leave it as is. (for the record, i advised him against the opening attempt, and he tried anyway :-p )
Movement: EP 40-68 ticking away and keeping good time. It has not been serviced in many years. chronograph starts and stops as it should. service recommended but not necessary.
Crown/Pushers: original
Price: $5250 or nearest offer
check out my website radiumstash.com or find me on instagram @faded_lume
best regards,
eric
