FSOT: HEUER AUTAVIA 3646 - 2 in 1, Tachy & Andretti!

Up for sale is my Heuer Autavia 3646 "Transitional". This was originally purchased as a regular "Andretti" 3646 from Peter Moller last May, but installed with the rarer 3646 Tachy dial which I was able to source. The original "Andretti" dial will be included in the sale (see pictures).

In a nutshell - the Transitional Autavia boasts a squarer case and wider bezel, the latter of which (in my mind) bridges the vintage models that we so love, with the newer reissues from TAG. This particular watch underwent a service by Abel in early 2016, where hands were relumed to match the original "Andretti" dial. The lume on the Tachy dial is of a different shade but the mismatch has not bothered me - the next owner can decide if he/she would like to make further adjustments ;) The watch functions as it should and has kept time in my period of ownership. For further details on this watch, Peter's very comprehensive sales post from 2016 can be found here: http://chronocentric.com/forums/chronotrader/index.cgi?md=read;id=51051 . You can also view my wristshots of this watch at my Instagram account (@wongcheok).

For this piece, I am hearing offers at or above USD 20k (EUR 17k), inclusive of FedEx insured shipping worldwide. Transitional models don't come up too often, as do tachy dial variants - I think 1-2 examples of the latter surfaced earlier this year, in the USD 23-25k range. I've set my starting mark lower, and am throwing in the original "Andretti" dial besides (and not to mention, the Abel corfam as well as Heuer 'B' buckle...).

Watch and I are based in Singapore, references are available if you need them. You can reach me via email at lionel [dot] wch [at] gmail.com. Look forward to hearing from you!

Best,
Lionel
