For sale from my personal collection is this amazing Arten Racing Chronograph featuring a Valjoux 7733 movement. Does this watch look familiar? You are right, it has got the same case as the Certina Argonaut Chrono and the Nivada Taravana only at a much lower price.
Arten was a brand made by Aero Neuchatel as you can tell by the little aeroplane on the caseback.
The watch is in excellent condition, it has got an acrylic highly domed crystal, tachymeter & telemeter ring and a very beautiful reverse panda dial with recessed subdials.
The stainless steel case has got a lovely sunburst and is in a great condition without any major scratches.
Diameter without the crown is 37mm, with crown 37,3 mm, 42.4mm length, 12,4 mm thickness, because of the form of the case it wears a lot bigger than the numbers suggest. Lugsize is 18mm and the watch comes on a new period handcrafted Italian leather racing strap.
Service: Unknown service history, keeps good time, winding and setting the time are very smooth, the chrono is working as it should and resets perfectly, pushers work crisply.
My price is 350,- excl. shipping
Payment via bank transfer or PayPal
I am located in The Netherlands
I am a collector who sometimes sells a watch from his collection, I am a regular at WUS and the dutch "horlogeforum", here is some feedback:
I am not a professional watch seller and this watch is part of my private collection. Every watch is described to the best of my abilities. I consider the pictures part of the description and do not accept refunds. Please note that vintage watches are not as precise functioning and waterproof as a modern day watch. Please ask any questions beforehand and I will answer them.
