FSOT: Aquastar Geneve Atoll Quartz *PIC*

Looking to get $1000 and interested in hearing offers.

This watch was featured on Theo and Harris and this description and photos are from there.

36mm with 19mm lugs and and the original signed jubilee bracelet. Bracelet will fit wrists smaller than 7.5 inches.

In the world of Submariner homages, this Aquastar is a cut above the rest – there’s no doubt. Not only does the Aquastar name bring decades of rich diving history with it but this example, which dates to the 1980’s, makes their remarkable knack for execution clear.

Let’s break down the elements. First, it features a matte black dial – a total throwback to the vintage Submariners we love so much. Accenting that matte black, instead of green superluminova, we’ve got creamy tritium lume plots and mercedes hands which give the entire color scheme beautiful depth and character. Taking a step back and admiring the case is a pleasure, too. A lovely and faded inscription can also be seen on the back. Not only is it finished with a brushed grain throughout but its defined by massive bevels on each lug. And the icing on the cake is that ghosty grey bezel insert; it allows the black dial and tritium to really be enjoyed.
