This is a rare and beautiful one button Lemania 15CHT (same as Omega 33.3, Lemania and Omega worked together) calibre vintage chronograph in pristine condition. These vintage watches were used extensively by military personnel in more affluent countries across the world for decades, beginning in the early 1930’s. They were valued greatly for their extreme robustness and reliability. The watch is large, easy to read, and will make your day every time you wear it with the strength, confidence, and aged charm it projects. Its movement is in immaculate condition and has been worked on by nothing but outstanding watchmakers from what we can see. Frequently, these Lemania 15CHT’s were maintained by military watchmakers. Historically each military around the world maintained their own watchmaking staff. The military organizations that serviced these watches maintained large numbers of genuine Lemania spare parts and they would routinely replace and update parts as-required. It was not unusual for a watch to be worn for 20 or 30 years while in military service. Our best estimate is that this watch dates-back to the 1940’s. The seconds hand is from a more recent era— this is common to see, as chronograph seconds hands wear-out over time (they are held by friction) and are frequently replaced during service. This is a pristine example of the Lemania 15CHT vintage chronograph. The watch was very well cared for. The movement condition reflects excellent work by past watchmakers.
