FS: FS: ‘60’s Heuer Carrera Val 72 – ref 2447T – on Heue

The 1960’s Heuer Carrera with its classic and timeless dial, movement and case has to be one of the most desirable vintage chronographs for collectors across the world. I have owned a few of these over time but have been greedy enough to now find myself with more than one! So this piece has to go from my collection.

The are many on-line resources with plenty of information on the val 72 carrera - the best place to go to is www.onthedash.com, an amazing website for all things Heuer!

My Carrera was fully serviced at the beginning of the year by my watchmaker. It keeps excellent time and all functions set and reset correctly and accurately. I have added the Heuer-signed Guy Frere bracelet which is the correct bracelet for this model. Both bracelet and the case of the chrono are in excellent condition for a piece of this vintage. The bracelet has almost no visible signs of wear - including on the clasp. The bracelet will easily fit a large wrist of over 8 inches when fully extended at the clasp. I WILL ADD A NEW HEUER PERFORATED BAND WITH HEUER SIGNED BUCKLE – NOT SHOWN IN PICS

The crown is Heuer signed and winds the movement with an extremely smooth action.

The dial is the much-sought tachymeter dial with the red calibrations round the dial. It is very clean showing minimal signs of aging. The pictures represent the dial condition very accurately.

The crystal was fitted new at the time of the service - unfortunately it took a knock and there is a hairline between 2 and 3o’clock as the crystal curves into the case ( visible in one of the pics) . This was checked out by my watchmaker and he did not feel it warranted a new crystal. If the new owner wishes to change it - that is easily done as crystals are available.

A beautiful piece for a collector or for everyday wear. I have plenty of TZ refs, 100% positive ebay feedback and Watchnet "Good Guys" posting on request. Email or contact me for more pics of this vintage piece – NO Trades please. I will accept paypal with fee.

My price including shipping worldwide is 2,650 USD.

Thanks for looking
