FS: Vintage 1960s Omega Railmaster For Sale *PIC*

Up for sale is a vintage 1960s Omega Railmaster

Visually, the appearance of the Railmaster has much in common with the Seamaster 300. The dials are similar, with Arabic numerals and large luminescent triangles at the poles. The Railmaster went through several variations, with different dial and hand designs, including some for the British and American railways, as well as for the RAF.
However, the Railmaster’s esoteric purpose meant that it never quite caught on as well as the Speedmaster and the Seamaster, and it was discontinued in 1963. It wouldn’t be seen again in Omega catalogs until 2003, when Omega rolled out the co-axial calibres conceived by master horologist, George Daniels.

This particular Railmaster, a Reference 135.004-63, dates from the end of the model’s run. Fresh from the spa, its hands have been expertly relumed, restoring them to their former glory. We’re offering it with a rare and desirable 7912/6 flat link bracelet, but it can be sold head only if desired.

Case diameter: approximately 38mm (excluding crown)
Lug Diameter: 20mm
Strap Type: includes the pictured 20mm Omega 7912/6 flat link bracelet. Bracelet has signs of age and wear, and is missing a link near the clasp. Watch can also be sold head-only on leather if so desired.
Dial condition: very good condition with fine overall patina; luminescent elements of the hour markers show signs of having been stripped in the past, but still shows signs of patina; luminescent elements of the hands have been professionally refinished to match the hour markers; case back shows some signs of wear but is in otherwise very good condition
Crown: signed Omega crown
Case material: stainless steel; in very good condition with crisp bevels and only light, normal signs of wear throughout
Movement: Omega Reference 135.004-63. Calibre 286 Manually-Wound Movement.

Price is $18,000 paid by check or wire including insured worldwide shipping. Please contact for more info. Thanks for looking!
